The brief
For the past 20 years DHL and Surf Life Saving NZ have partnered to create campaigns that promote water safety across Aotearoa during the summer period. Water fatalities are an ongoing issue, with 95% of all drownings at the beach and in coastal environments being adults over the age of 15, and 80% of these being male.
We were recruited to create new and fresh content to target males aged 18-25 with engaging safety messaging. We scripted concepts, gathered talent and organised the video shoot at Piha. The campaign went live with videos rolling out over the summer period across TikTok and Meta and generated over 3.2 million impressions, 4.9k link clicks and 555K engaged views.
