For the past two years, Best Foods’ Second Chance Sundays has championed the fight against food waste, offering Kiwis creative, practical ways to give their leftovers a second life.

The brief
Building on the usual four households, we took the campaign to the next level- introducing an interactive competition element to drive even greater engagement and participation. This year, we put the power in Kiwi hands, inviting them to share their own best food waste tips and tricks for a chance to win a special Second Chance Sundays experience. The winning participant received the ultimate reward a home visit from acclaimed Masterchef finalist Elliott McClymont, who cooked a bespoke meal using their rescued ingredients.
By highlighting real households and showcasing simple, achievable solutions, this campaign continued to prove that with a little creativity (and a squeeze of Best Foods), every ingredient can have a second chance.
